Funeral

The churches in our parish are available to help you mark the end of someone’s life.

The first step in arranging a funeral is usually to contact a Funeral Director. They will then help you in making the choices appropriate for the service you want to put together.

It could be that you would like a service in church, which concludes at the Crematorium or in a local civic Cemetery. This could be at either of the churches in our parish; All Saints, at Darfield, and St Michael & All Angels, at Great Houghton.

At All Saints there is the further option of being buried in the churchyard.

Services in church would normally include a hymn (or hymns) accompanied by the organ at Darfield and the piano at Great Houghton. Other music (for instance on CD) is possible and the details would be worked out well before the day of the funeral.

Please feel free to Contact us to discuss these and any other options.
